Deanna Ellis is a mom of two and has been married to her college sweetheart since 2003. Her husband has pastored the same church for over 20 years. Deanna’s heart has always been to point people to Jesus and His plan for their lives. She has had opportunities to do this with the ladies of her church as well as staff ladies and staff wives. In the early days of being a stay-at-home mom, the Holy Spirit helped Deanna realize that she didn’t have to live in her calling by her own power — she had the power of God that has given her everything she needs to fulfill His calling for her life. She has made it her mission to share this biblical insight with others.
Deanna believes that when we realize our callings are not to be compared with others and God has specially designed us for what He has called us to, our churches and communities will be filled with ladies living in their purpose with a holy and healthy perspective of themselves and each other.
Deanna is a stay-at-home mom who did not aspire to be an author, and sees herself more as a tour guide on this eight-week journey — pointing you to God’s promises and divine nature in His Word, so you can live an effective and productive life in your knowledge of your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit led Deanna to 2 Peter 1:3 in the early days of her calling as a mom. After realizing what a difference this verse made in her life, she felt the Lord leading her to share the passage of 2 Peter 1:3-11 with other ladies wanting to live effectively and productively in their callings in the Lord as well.
After a six-year stretch of writing this activation — being obedient in each small step that led to its release — she prays it will be just as impactful in your life: fulfilling your God-given calling while enjoying the freedom of His Presence and Power living in you.
